A few days ago, Desert Island Pundit reader Ing accused me of being a member of the liberal media based on these cartoons. Sarcastic or otherwise, the comment got me thinking about why all the punchlines I was coming up with so easily were all stupid things that would come out of a Republican's mouth. It's not like Democrats never do or say anything stupid, yet no Democratic theme jokes were coming to mind.

So, I went out of my way to make the Desert Island Pundit a Democrat and after much struggling came to the conclusion of why it doesn't work.A) Democrats aren't trying to take attention off of the major crises in this country, just the roles their ineptitude played in contributing to them.
B) Democrats don't wrap up their thoughts on an issue in one simple sentence (i.e. "Why do you hate America?", "If you ____, the terrorists win," "I'm for equal rights, not special rights.")
