Driving home from picking up the kids at school, I pull up to a red light near a park. My son says, "Hey, dad, guess who I found today... and he's dead."

"I don't know. Who?"

"That guy," he tells me, pointing out his window at a homeless guy sleeping under a tree.

What does it say about my parenting that my son can see what he believes to be a dead body in broad daylight and not be even slightly phased. Five seconds later, he'd completely shifted his attention to the "silly man" waving his arms by the gas station.

"Silly man" is his term for those inflatable arm waving tube guys that I never even notice, but he manages to spot everywhere with endless glee.
